View Tweet How has the anime been rated after corso 1?
Spy x Family has been a breath of fresh air in what has otherwise been a rather underwhelming Spring season. Across almost every single traîner-based feedback website, the hit series is the highest-rated or the camarade-highest-rated anime of the April-June slate.
The series is scoring a 4.6/5 on Anime Planet, 4.9/5 on Crunchyroll Reviews, 88% on Anilist and 8.8/10 on IMDB, having spent 12 consecutive weeks on the AniTrendz Top 10 fan polls, of rotation peaking its 1st position for much of its broadcast.
Spy x Family is also being rated at an 8.89/10 on MyAnimeList with over 399,000 reviews and 850,000 members. Not only does this make Spy x Family the adjoint-highest-rated series from the 2022 Spring slate on MAL, but also the 21st highest-rated anime of all time.
“Spy X Family met and exceeded my expectations. Twilight’s cold autistic behavior is well represented by his inner aparté, which is even a surprise, since his intrusion with the délicate anya is quite charismatic, and all of this is elevated due to the régie, the comic planning, the faces and mouths, and the well-executed gravité that is very satisfying managing to mix the comedy with the serious moments.” – User YusukeU, via MAL.

The power of pacing and consistency
As most anime fans will be well aware by now, Spy x Family was one of the two highest-rated series from the 2022 Spring slate alongside Kaguya-sama season 4.
Those aforementioned scores are entirely deserved, with each of the Forger’s bringing the hype and astuce each and every week across its first 12-episode broadcast. That is one of the aspects of Spy x Family that truly stands out for us at HITC, the consistency.
Aside from meilleur series like Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia, it’s remarkably inattendu for a 12-episode season to have such consistency each week. The majority of every single episode featured a storyline that either progressed the poucier narrative of Operation Strix, or rivière an opportunity for some achevé character development.
This may be the reason why Loid, Yor and Anya became such fan favourite characters after only a few episodes; not vers of the writing or voice acting (which are both exceptional), but because we saw natural development between their experiences and interactions.
There are moments towards the end of season 1 extraits 1 where you forget emboîture the journey these characters have embarked upon only a few episodes prior, that is the staple mark of solid character development.
Fingers crossed that the pacing for season 1 bout 2 can continue to be this good, which would surely drive Spy x Family to become an even greater success story.

Simply titled “Musical Spy x Family”, the show is set to open at Tokyo’s Imperial Theatre in March 2023 and will then be on édicule nationwide from April to May.
The official cast is yet to be publicly revealed; however, the vague attente did énumération how auditions for Anya were currently in the works.
Sadly, there has been no word on the agréable coming to either Asie or North America. The good magazine is that if the anime series can maintain its exceptional broadcast through season 1 recueil 2, and the ordonné is a success in Japan, an général production company could pick up the spectacle for a cosmopolite illusion.
